 The Grand Grand Illusion Illusion\thanks{$Revision: 1.8 $}
Namely, understanding the grand illusion as the result of a false belief in representational reality is implausible because a belief of that sort is not ubiquitous among ordinary perceivers: once again, this understanding of the grand illusion hypothesis goes wrong in projecting the concerns of cognitive scientists onto the man in the street.
The illusory belief imputed by an understanding of the grand illusion must be a belief that is held by ordinary perceivers, since it is claimed that ordinary subjects suffer from a grand illusion.
The illusory belief imputed by an understanding of the grand illusion must be unambiguously disconfirmed by the phenomena of CB and IB, insofar as these results are held to expose the grand illusion as an illusion.

 Bardsley on Allen
In order to sustain the experience of projective illusion and the pleasure that that experience can provide, the spectator must allow herself not only to consider things which she knows not to be the case, but also to consider these things without letting her knowledge of their falsity interfere.
Although there are many factors external to the mind of the spectator that contribute to her experience of projective illusion (and which may therefore challenge it), the experience itself depends largely on the willingness and propensities of the viewer to engage in the illusion.
Although the experience of projective illusion is said to depend on psychological mechanisms of wish fulfillment and disavowal, mechanisms which would seem to function largely on a subconscious level, Allen makes it clear that the conscious mind plays a very important role in the creation of the cinematic experience.

He also proposes an explanation of the moon illusion based on angular size illusions due to oculomotor micropsia, an illusion that accompanies the accommodation of the eye lens and the convergence of the two eyes.

 Topics of Reflection and Discussion
In an issue on illusion, one would be remiss not to at least mention extra sensory perception or ESP. ESP is often described as the phenomenon where data, information, and perception of the world around us are acquired outside the realm of the five recognized senses of seeing, smelling, tasting, touching and hearing.
It is in the recognition that life may be illusion that we confirm that the opposite, the counterillusion, the truth exists.
In this issue, I wish to consider the nature of illusion along with its countermeasure, which for the sake of intrigue and for the moment, I shall call counter-illusion.

That is, the extent to which rotation of a display reduces the illusion is interpreted as evidence that the illusion is a perspective illusion, whereas the extent to which rotation of the display does not reduce the illusion is interpreted as evidence that the illusion is a case of the Muller-Lyer illusion.
The magnitude of the illusion varied almost linearly with the ratio of the stimulus bar to the gap between the bar and the context lines.
The basis of the Ponzo illusion is, however, not clear in the case of humans.

 Imaging Spells
Moving Illusion spells are a variation of the Illusion spells where the caster keeps control of the motion of the illusion throughout.
Alternatively, the illusion can be set into motion at the start of the spell, in which case it keeps moving in the given direction or in some rhythmic fashion.
A caster can never produce a good illusion of a sensation he has not experienced (although he may be able to fool others who have not either), and in any case producing good mental images is a difficult skill.

 Grand Illusion
The Grand Illusion, together with The Rules of the Game is Jean Renoir's best known film.
But unlike The Rules of the Game, which was universally maligned by both critics and the moviegoing public and banned by the French government for bad taste, The Grand Illusion was universally praised to become the instant classic.
It obviously refers to the illusion that the war will be over soon as it is often expressed in the movie.

— Another rite of passage in the '70s: closing the door in your room, turning up "The Grand Illusion", and feeling the walls disappear.
In fact, the first side of music is a classic piece of vinyl: "The Grand Illusion", "Fooling Yourself", "Superstars" and "Come Sail Away" were played on the radio until they permeated the collective consciousness.
A good album that mixed Art Rock, Arena and plain POP with great talent, "The Grand Illusion" was a big success in all the world, specially the simple and nostalgic "Come Sail Away" that reached the top of the charts in most countries, good song but too poppy fort my taste.

Normally, only sight, sound, and touch need to change, so the difficulty of visualizing a Mutable Full Illusion of a living creature would be 35; in some cases, it might be possible to leave the touch illusion static, in which case the difficulty would be only 30.
The difficulty of visualizing the changes is 2 greater than for the Compound Illusion spell for a simple change in either sight or sound, but not both, and 4 greater for simple changes in both.
This spell creates an illusion affecting all five senses that changes according to the mental directions of the caster.

DECWARE - Audio Paper / Playback systems
It is possible to create a miniature scale illusion of the performance that is very pleasing but it will never give the illusion of being real because the scale is off.
Creating the perfect illusion requires much more than the right speakers and room setup, it is in fact a fragile balance of your entire audio chain and always in the hands of the weakest link.
A simple grand illusion would be to set a stool between and behind your speakers and record a singer or musician playing an acoustic instrument in your room.

 Auditory Development Lab - Research
We have shown, however, that the what pathway does not simple discard the information from the non-dominant ear because the octave illusion stimulus is clearly distinguishable from an "illusion-consistent" stimulus mimicking the illusory percept, in which sine wave tones simply alternate between the ears.
In the octave illusion, discovered by Diana Deutsch, two sine wave tones an octave apart alternate in an extended pattern such that the input to the two ears is out of phase (i.e., when the right ear hears the high tone, the left ear hears the low tone).
We have also discovered that the octave illusion stimulus gives rise to an intensity illusion: when the illusion-consistent stimulus follows the illusory stimulus it sounds substantially louder than the illusory stimulus, but when the illusory stimulus follows to illusion-consistent stimulus they sound equally loud.
