 Sicyon, Greek Mythology Link.
Sicyon is a city on the Peloponnesian coast of the Gulf of Corinth.
That is the case of Echepolus 2, the rich man who presented his lord Agamemnon with a mare on condition that he need not go to Troy.
But then again others have said that Thelxion was later killed by Argus 1, on account of the murder of Apis 2.

Telexion then held the kingdom of the Sicyons.
The fourth king of the Latins was Silvius the son of Aeneas, not by Creusa, of whom Ascanius the third king was born, but by Lavinia the daughter of Latinus, and he is said to have been his posthumous child.

Aratus Biography / Biography of Aratus Biography Biography
Aratus died in 213 as general, being accorded heroic honors at Sicyon.
Aratus, holding out in Sicyon, called upon Macedon for help and became Antigonus Doson's adjutant in his conquest of the Peloponnesus.
Orphaned at the age of 7 when his family was massacred by a dictator, Aratus alone escaped to Argos.

SICYON in the Bible Encyclopedia - ISBE (Bible History Online)
The Jewish dispersion had already taken place, and Jews were living in most of the seaports and cities of Asia Minor, Greece and Egypt (compare Sib Or 3:271, circa 140 BC, and Philo).
Sicyon was situated 18 miles West of Corinth on the south side of the Gulf of Corinth.
Though not as important as Corinth in its sea trade, the burning of that city in 143 BC, and the favor shown to Sicyon by the Roman authorities in adding to its territory and assigning to it the direction of the Isthmian games, increased its wealth and influence for a time.

 Hellenica - Chapter III
Faction and party strife ran high in Sicyon between the better classes and the people, when Euphron, getting a body of foreign troops from Athens, once more obtained his restoration.
B.C. It seems to have been somewhere about this date that Aeneas the Stymphalian,[1] who had become general of the Arcadians, finding that the state of affairs in Sicyon was intolerable, marched up with his army into the acropolis.
Lastly, he was most undisguisedly a tyrant, who made not free men only, but free fellow-citizens his slaves; who put to death, or drove into exile, or robbed of their wealth and property, not malefactors, note you, but the mere victims of his whim and fancy; and these were ever the better folk.

Sicyon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For some centuries, Sicyon remained subject to Argos, where its Dorian conquerors had come from; as late as 500 BC it acknowledged a certain suzerainty.
Again in the Corinthian war Sicyon sided with Sparta and became its base of operations against the allied troops round Corinth.
After the fall of the tyrants their institutions survived till the end of the 6th century BC, when Dorian supremacy was re-established, perhaps by the agency of Sparta, and the city was enrolled in the Peloponnesian League.

 Thebes, Greek Mythology Link.
Lycus 5 is known, among other things, for having waged war against Sicyon.
Some affirm that Antiope 3, before being abducted by Epopeus 1, was Lycus 5's wife, and that before she was taken back to Thebes she had given birth to twins who were not the sons of Epopeus 1 but Zeus' children, as the god had approached her in the form of a Satyr.
This woman, who some considered daughter not of Nycteus 2 but of the river god Asopus, was for Epopeus 1 what some today call a "representative wife", as she had a name in all Hellas for her beauty.

The explanation of his motive for this given by Miiller (Dor.

This, it is said, Euripides used in his tragedy which bears the same title, though, according to some authorities, Neophron lived in the time of Alexander the Great.
One of the most prolific of dramatists was Neophron of Sicyon, to whom are accredited one hundred and twenty pieces, of which only a few fragments of his Medea remain.

Achaean League - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It was first joined by the city of Sicyon, which provided it with its first great leader, Aratus of Sicyon.
The League soon expanded it to control much of the Peloponnesus, considerably weakening the Macedonian hold on the area, but soon it ran into difficulties with the revived Sparta of Cleomenes III.
The Achaean League reformed early in the 3rd century BC, and soon expanded beyond its Achaean heartland.

 Origin of Comedy
All that Aristotle can tell us is that it first took shape in Megaris and Sicyon, whose people were noted for their coarse humor and sense of the ludicrous, while Susarion, the earliest comic poet, was a native of a Megarian town.
The evolution of comedy is much simpler than that of its sister art, though as to its origin and earlier development there is little exact information.
