You see WE held a referudum last spring and the people in our community signed NO to signing any agreements with the DFO, since we were the first Mikmaq band who signed treaties with the crown in 1752, we are the ones who are suppose to hold on to those treaties.
Today our band leaders signed a BCR to sign in agreements with the DFO, there are 10 councillors of the 12 we have who signed this BCR, they are going going against the wishes of our Chief and the people in our community.
