MCA leaders have, even before Merdeka, been at pains to convince the Malay political elite and leadership, moderates and extremists alike, that the great majority of Malaysian Chinese are loyal and owe no allegiance to any other country in their efforts to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests.

Just to get things straight, apparently the woman who was filmed doing ear squats naked in a police locker room was not a Chinese national but a local Malay.

 Are you actually a Malaysian Chinese?
Otherwise, you'll only get sympathy but not much political support (if any) from PRC, not now, not future, coz PRC is pretty strict about not meddling w/other countries internal affairs.
Regardless of whether you are or not, I think Chinese aboard esp. those in SE Asia should not just consider themselves "huaren" but also "zhongguoren", and should push for dual citizenship with the PRC.
It would bring PRC more close to them.
