Hoffman - (3/27/00) -- Sometime around 1928 someone by the name of Christian Hoffman gave the Mormons a list of about 100 Hoffman names dating from as early as 1687> This list had names from Dutchess, Ulster, and Columbia Counties.
The only information that I can find is that he was in the Ulster Militia in New York.
Born in New York on June 14, 1846, died in Owanka, SD.,June 29, 1930.
