After a short delay due to technical problems connecting scientific instruments to the ships data system Jan Mayen left Tromsö at 18:00 and headed towards 75°N, 10°E. This point was reached, after a test CTD Station on the way, on March 14.
The ships final crew arrived in the afternoon.
While taking the first CTD-Station of the 75°N section problems arose with the CTD-wire.
