Reading Raswan: Feysul's Mare, the Jallabiyah Part II
Mounted upon another mare behind Ibrahim Pasha rode Srur, an Old Bedouin slave, who had accompanied the Jallabiyah mare from Central Arabia to Egypt as he her attendent by order of his master, Prince Feysul, chieftain of the great Mutayr tribe.
The slave asked the Pasha if he would allow his nephew to accompany him to Arabia so that the child could be brought up in the desert with the chieftains.
Only two brood mares, a colt and a mature stallion were left in Feysul's stud in 1818, the year of Abdullah's defeat and capture in Arabia.

Articles - Egypt under Muhammad Ali and his successors
The true reason was the refusal of Sultan Mahmud to hand over Syria according to agreement, and Mehemet Ali's determination to obtain at all hazards what had been from time immemorial an object of ambition to the rulers of Egypt.
This movement was the last internal attempt to destroy the pasha's authority.
While Ibraihim was engaged in the second Arabian campaign the pasha turned his attention to strengthening the Egyptian economy.

 Murphey, Suleyman's Eastern Policy
But the efficacy of Ibrahim's policies aimed at securing pro-Ottoman alignments (a translation of istimalet itself whose root meaning is "to lean" or "incline in the direction of") among the tribes was most fully demonstrated during the course of the first campaign of the two Iraqs in 1534-1535.
Instead Ibrahim carefully sensitive to tribal feelings, insisted that the vacant office be settled on Seref Khan's son Semseddin.
In undertaking to establish their rule in Iraq the Ottomans were conscious of the responsibility which their claim to rule entai]ed.

Sharif Husain Pasha's second son, Sharif Faysal, founded the State of Iraq in 1339 (1921) and died in 1351 (1933).

Ibrahim Pasha - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is fairly certain that the Turkish government, jealous of his power, had laid a plot to prevent him and his troops from returning to Egypt.
A great deal of unpublished material of the highest interest with regard to Ibrahim's personality and his system in Syria is preserved in the British Foreign Office archives; for references to these see Cambridge Mod.
Ibrahim's operations in the Morea were energetic and ferocious.

However, historical evidence does not support the claim that there was a smooth continuity between Mehmed II and Suleyman I along the lines of a theory drawn up by the Conqueror.
As these documents suggest, it had been unknown in the Ottoman Empire until the 1530s that the sultan could have a representative with powers who could stand absolutely for himself.

The City and its Rural Hinterland
Some of the severest retribution conducted by Ibrahim Pasha was against the Christian peasantry of Beit Jala, Beit Lahem, and Kerak (the latter in Transjordan).
But the attempts of minority communities seeking protection in the administration of Ibrahim Pasha (which he fulfilled) did not extend itself to the Christian peasantry.
Jerusalem villages were the sites of frequent rebellions against the central authority, most notably against the Egyptian administration of Ibrahim Pasha.

Ibrahim remained as local governor until 1816, when the Sultan rewarded him for his services to the Ottoman Empire with the title of pasha.
Ibrahim became his father's right-hand man in military affairs, and Mohammed Ali's success in beginning the modernization of Egypt and in establishing an autonomous Egypt ruled by his own dynasty was due to the prowess and skill of both father and son.

NUBAR PASHA - LoveToKnow Article on NUBAR PASHA
Abbas Pasha, who succeeded Ibrahim in 1848, maintained Nubar in the same capacity, and sent him in 1850 to London as his representative to resist the pretensions of the sultan, who was seeking to evade the conditions of the treaty under which Egypt was secured to the family of Mehemet Ali.
Before he was eighteen he went to Egypt, and after some eighteen months training as secretary to Boghos, who was then minister of both commerce and foreign affairs, he was made second secretary to Mehemet Ali.
Riaz Pasha, who succeeded him, was, with one interval of eight months, prime minister until April 1894, when Nubar returned to office.

How We Got The Name Daghlian
Ibrahim Pasha, as he advanced into the area of the revolt, changed his allegiance and began to fight against Turkish forces moving up from the south.
But I like the Ibrahim Pasha angle, because he was a friendly high Moslem ruler who was nice and kind to the Armenians, who were constantly under the oppression of the Turks.
Whether the pasha was Ibrahim Pasha or not does not alter the last part of this story.
