 The Harry Warren Web Site
This site was created in memory of Harry Warren, one of the greatest American composers of the 20th century.
This was said to be the first melody Harry Warren heard played live by a Hollywood orchestra and he actually burst into tears when Leo Forbstein gave the downbeat to the Vitaphone orchestra and they started playing it.
The tune that should be heard playing in the background is one of Harry Warren's loveliest, obviously inspired by Puccini, an untitled instrumental love theme he wrote for use in the movie "Forty-Second Street" (1933).
