ACL: What is the Hegelian Dialectic? by Niki Raapana and Nordica Friedrich
The Hegelian dialectic is not a conspiracy theory because the Conspiracy Theory is a fraud.
Hegel is an imperialist con artist who established the principles of dialectical "no-reason." Hegel's dialectic has allowed globalists to lead simple, capable, freeborn men and women back into the superstitious, racist and unreasonable age of imperial global dominance.
Karl Popper, a critic of Hegel in The Open Society and Its Enemies, suggests that the Hegel's system forms a thinly veiled justification for the rule of Frederick William III, and that Hegel's idea of the ultimate goal of history is to reach a state approximating that of 1830s Prussia.

The Dogmatic Dialectic and the Critical Dialectic
The possibility that a dialectic exists is itself dialectical; or, to put it another way, the only possible unity of the dialectic as law of historical development and the dialectic as knowledge-in-movement of this development is the unity of a dialectical movement.
But if, as some writers imply, dialectical materialism is to be understood as a monism which is supposed to control human history from outside, then we are compelled to say that there is no such thing as dialectical materialism, at least for the time being.
When dialectical materialism claims to establish a dialectic of Nature it does not present itself as an attempt at an extremely general synthesis of human knowledge, but rather as a mere ordering of the facts.

His insight suggests that by not examining commonly held truths and opinions, people are like prisoners trying to escape a prison without consideration for the steel bars and barbed-wire fences that hinder their liberation.
It is important to note, however, that these critical comments come nearly 3000 years after Plato wrote his dialogues, and thus, this author has the benefit of an accumulation of knowledge that was not available to Plato.
Last, the connection of ideas by the prisoner seems unlikely since the other aspects of the dialectic are not met.

The sense of conversational interplay and exchange, involving the assertion, contradiction, distinction and qualification of theses, was retained in the practice of medieval disputation.

Hindu dialectic is discussed by Hegel, Engels, and Ian Stewart, who has written on Chaos Theory.

 THE DIALECTIC OR SYNTHESIS
The intellect, in so far as it is not an intrinsic moment of reason and inseparable from it, but is, on the contrary, the affirmation of the separate opposites which claims to stand alone as ultimate truth, intellect, in this sense, becomes a derogatory and depreciatory term.
Thus our Rosmini, aghast at the dialectic of being and not being, exclaimed: "And even were it as true, as it is false, that being can deny itself, the question would always recur: what could move it to deny itself?
What reason could be assigned for this alleged desire, on the part of being, to deny itself and to ignore itself?

 Idealism
As we have already seen, Hegel's view of the world is determinedly historical; he believed that history itself (involving another triad, of original/reflective/philosophical history) exhibits the growth of self-consciousness in the Absolute, the process of development by means of which the Weltgeist comes to know itself.
Again, the historical development of religion displays a dialectical structure: the thesis is worship of nature, which gives rise to a religion of individuality tempered by revealed law, and both are transcended in the synthesis of Protestant Christianity, which unifies them under the notion of god in human form.
Certainly Hegel regarded the cultural achievements of his own time—nationalism, romanticism, protestantism, and idealism—as the culmination of all that had gone before, with his own philosophical work as its highest expression.

 Dialectic
Like rhetoric, dialectic is concerned with persuasion and logical proof and takes into account opposing viewpoints on a given issue (see in utrumque partes).
Dialectic does not theorize the use of emotion (except as a fallacy), nor does it concern itself with audiences or with contexts (see kairos) as does rhetoric.
Those who have emphasized the centrality or priority of dialectic over rhetoric (such as Plato or Peter Ramus in the Renaissance) have done so by reducing rhetoric to being concerned only with style, or with managing appearances and manipulating audiences.

My point explicitly is that the novel's plot-the Smales' displacement to July's village and their subsequent reliance on him as their translator and protector-dramatizes an inversion of power that suggests a dialectical collapsing of the Smales prior position of dominance and July's prior position of subordination.
The inversion of the master/slave power dynamic, and the idea of a complicity between Maureen and Bam foreground what Georg Hegel describes as the conditions of the "master/slave dialectic" and the "dialectic" generally.
Lukacs also endorsed a "dialectic" understanding of history -a model in which history advances not in terms of linear progression but a series of contradictions that manifest themselves in class struggles (Selden 77).
